FPBC Membership Classes

Membership is a way to commit to being part of our church family, and for our church family to commit to you, in a more intimate way.

Our membership process involves three steps:

  1. Membership classes

  2. Share your testimony

  3. Be affirmed by the congregation as a member

Consider joining our next round of classes starting September 10. Contact the church office to save a seat for you!

Welcome to Pastor Timothy Hein and Family

On September 1, 2021, Forest Park Baptist Church welcomed Timothy Hein as the new Senior Pastor of the congregation. Pastor Hein is joined by his wife and four children.

Pastor Hein was the subject of an article recently published in the Forest Park Review. The article’s author wrote this about Pastor Hein:

What Forest Park’s Baptist church got in their new pastor is a shepherd who passionately loves Jesus and encourages his people to share that love with their friends and neighbors and at the same is able to “think the faith,” as Douglas John Hall would say, from a scholarly perspective.

His vision for the future for his congregation includes spending the first year together forming relationships with both the church members and the community.  He dreams of the church moving from trusting relationships in God and each other to gaining a reputation in Forest Park and the surrounding area as a faith community that loves God and loves their neighbors.

Pathways for the Future

In 2007, the Forest Park Baptist Church developed a multi-phase building and grounds upgrade plan. Phase I of the Pathways for the Future project satisfied the vision to expand church parking. Phase II included the successful construction of a three-story main entrance addition on the south side of the Main building. As the new main entrance to the church, the addition created modern, temperature-controlled meeting spaces, and improved accessibility, including a new elevator, wheelchair ramp, and restrooms.

Phase III - Multi-Purpose Building

When the Lord prepares us, Phase III will consist of constructing a multi-purpose building with new washrooms on both floors. There will be a new kitchen, new classrooms, and a half-court gymnasium to go along with a walking track. The building will be built on pylons in order to make room for parking underneath the building.

Phase III will give the church much greater presence in the community. It holds great potential to expand our ministry not just to our congregation but also to unchurched youth and senior citizens of Forest Park and beyond.
